Every year on the June bank holiday weekend the bloom festival takes place in Ireland. It is the countries biggest horticultural event. In the last decade the festival has showcased a diverse range of gardens, botanical art & sculptures. The show is located on 70 acres of land at Phoenix Park, itself a tourist attraction, with the Irish presidential building also located in the park as well as Dublin zoo being in close proximity.
The show organisers aim for the show to have more diversity than traditional gardening shows. There is usually over 30 gardens on display. There is also plenty more to see while at the show as well as the lovely gardens and floral displays including: Farmers markets and entertainment stages and the opportunity to learn about fruit, vegetable and potato production in Ireland.
