Tour Operations / Administrator
Would you like to work with amateur musical groups travelling to Ireland from all over the world?
We are a tour operator based in Carrigaline, Cork.
We have an opportunity for someone to join our experienced team and help us create fabulous
memories of Ireland for international musicians. We work with choirs, orchestras, marching bands concert bands, dancers, every sort of musician…
What does the job entail:
- Working with our music contacts to arrange concerts.
- Sourcing new and exciting opportunities for concerts, venues and joint performance
opportunities.
- Project managing the group concept on paper, to performing in Ireland.
- Booking arrangements with suppliers for your groups, hotels, meals, visits, guides,
instruments hire, venues, transport…
- Liaising with the customer to ensure the timing for each day allows the passengers to get the most out of their tour.
- Not all your groups will be musical performance tours some will be general sightseeing tours as well as some special interest tours, history, castles, culinary, etc.
- Working on your own initiative but part of a wider team.
The right person:
- Will have strong computer skills, we operate a cloud-based tour management system. The
system is very self-intuitive, but you need to be really comfortable with computers. FULL
training will be provided.
- Everything you need to do your job - laptop, mobile phone, training, etc. will be provided.
- Be able to work on your own initiative, without direct supervision.
- Needs to be a confident communicator, to be able to build new relationships with suppliers
and work with communities to support interactions with your groups.
- Be solutions orientated because things can go wrong on tour.
- Have a strong attention to detail, what makes a great tour is when the tour operator has
done their detailed preparation.
- Understands that there may be a need for some out of hours calls and work, to support your tour.
What can you expect:
- Monday to Friday 9 to 5 but flexibility to start early or finish late.
- Remote working is possible, but employees are expected to come to office some days each
week.
- A competitive salary based on suitability.
- A relaxed work environment, with an experienced, supportive team. There will be peak
periods where you will need to work more but these will be returned in time in lieu.
